Annual Campaign
The 2011-2012 Annual Campaign is underway!
We are now one month into our 20th year at Science & Arts Academy, and our fifth year in our new building. Throughout our history and growth, we have maintained our focus on SAA's unique vision and mission for gifted education. We have a highly qualified staff, an extremely strong curriculum, and are financially stable.
The kickoff of the 2011-2012 campaign runs from October through December.
Your tuition covers approximately 75% of the costs to educate your child here at SAA. The difference between tuition and actual educational costs are approximately $3,000.00. Our small classes, modern facility, and individualized approach to gifted education all increase our costs. Unlike your tuition, donations to the SAA annual fund are tax deductible.
When you participate in the annual campaign you continue to support the school's mission and goals. Contributions come from the Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, current families, alumni families, and corporate matching. Full participation is crucial to our other fundraising success, because outside foundations are more likely to consider SAA for grants when we can demonstrate complete commitment from within our own community.
Last year, 100% of our faculty, staff and Board of Trustees contributed to the campaign. We fell short of our goal to have every family contribute in 2010-2011, and we must increase our efforts to meet our goal of 100% participation. Because support for the annual campaign helps SAA provide the best possible education for all students, everyone is asked to contribute. We realize that each family situation is different, and therefore our goal is for every family to participate at a level that is comfortable for them.
The students are SAA's top priority, and we hope that families will make the school one of their top philanthropic priorities as well.
Families can make a direct donation to the campaign via cash, check or credit card. Your contribution may be made from the Annual Campaign page by clicking on the Donate button. You may also make a donation pledge and arrange to spread the amount over time. When you contribute, SAA will send an acknowledgment letter that serves as a tax receipt, noting the date and amount of your donation, and including a disclosure that no goods or services were received in exchange.
Science & Arts Academy parents provide an amazing amount of support in countless ways, and participation in any school activity and fundraiser is appreciated. The annual giving campaign is the only time we will be asking for direct cash support from out families.
