SAA Capital Campaign

Science & Arts Academy has had a profound impact on so many families over these past 13 years.  The challenge we face now is not just to sustain this excellence, but to advance our mission – to provide an even greater difference in the lives of gifted students from all over Chicagoland.

Blueprint for Excellence is our capital campaign, designed to complement the SAA difference.  Building our new facilities will begin in fall 2006.  The new building will maintain the unique character of Science and Arts Academy, but will take us to the next level of excellence with more appropriate facilities.  While children’s art projects will still line the walls, our new building will provide a gym and athletic field, improved science labs, and a theater in which to showcase the performing arts that are so essential to an SAA education.

There are a variety of ways to contribute to the capital campaign.

Cash – A direct gift of any amount may be spread over a period of up to five years, and payments may be made annually, quarterly, semiannually, or monthly to provide for the most flexibility for you.

Matching Gifts – If your employer sponsors a matching gift program, request a matching gift form from your employer.  Send it completed and signed with your gift, and we will do the rest.

Stocks or Securities – In gifting appreciated stock, you avoid all capital gains taxes and receive full benefit of a charitable contribution.  Stock gifts may be either one-time, or distributed over a period of several years

Real Estate – By deeding real property to the school, you receive the same financial advantages specified above for stock donations. 

Deferred or Planned Giving – This is an ideal way to provide for the future of SAA.  Estate gifts provide the school with long-term income.  Life insurance, annuitites, trusts, or providing through your will are excellent testament to the institution that has profoundly impacted so many children.  If this is your intent, please let us know so that we can provide you with the appropriate forms.
