Steven A. Peter

Mr. Peter has been teaching for 8 years and has been part of the SAA family for 3 of those years.  He is a Physical Education Teacher and coordinates the Intramural Sports Program, Jump Rope for Heart, and Field Day.  Mr. Peter possesses a BS in Education (P.E.) and a Minor in Music from Illinois State University.  His Illinois Teaching Certification includes endorsements Social Studies and Music.  Outside of SAA, Mr. Peter is a High School Coach for both boys and girls Volleyball, and he is a professional Swing performer.  Mr. Peter has presented at Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (IAPHERD) and accepted the Jump Rope For Heart “Top School Leadership Award” on behalf of SAA in 2006.  He enjoys musical theater acting and his favorite quote is: “If you want to make peace, you don’t talk to your friends.  You talk to your enemies.” (Moshe Dayan)
