Counseling Staff

Becky Miller, LCSW

Mrs. Miller has been with SAA for 3 years and serves as School Social Worker, Summer Adventures Coordinator, and Afternoon Adventures Coordinator.  She possesses a BSW with honors and an MSW from University of Illinois at Chicago (Jane Addams College of Social Work). Prior to coming to SAA, Mrs. Miller coordinated support groups for children – pre-school age through high school – which involved writing support group curriculum and supervising the administering counselors.

Matt Gallo

Mr. Gallo has 5 years teaching experience with SAA.  He has multiple roles including Counseling Team Member, Behavior Management Team Member, Philosophy & Logic Teacher, and P.E. Teacher.  He possesses a BA in Environmental Studies and Government from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY and an MA in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Counseling from The Chicago School.  Mr. Gallo coaches Youth Girls Soccer and College Girls Soccer, and runs his own sports training company.  He also provides therapy and consultation to gifted children and their families.  Mr. Gallo enjoys traveling, sports, and sailing.  His favorite quote is: “Well, there is only one pieces of advice I can give you, the secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world, and never to forget the drops of oil on the spoon.” (The Alchemist).
