Health & Safety

Science & Arts Academy has remained steadfast and resolute in its  commitment to the health and safety of all members of our SAA community.

Sick Policy

While students’ attendance at school is important, it is more critical than ever to monitor student, faculty and staff health daily. We ask all community members to stay home if exhibiting any illness symptoms or fever that are not clearly attributable to a known pre-existing condition. Read the Sick Policy »

Safety & Security

Science & Arts Academy is committed to the safety and security of our community.

Visiting SAA

Ensuring student safety is our top priority, as we believe a secure environment is essential for learning and growth. Therefore, SAA employs the use of a secure check-in and check-out system for all visitors during school hours (8:30am - 3:30pm). Visiting families are encouraged to be familiar with our Visitor Guidelines.

Bullying Prevention Policy

While there are many different types of conflicts children can experience, educators are trained to recognize the signs and symptoms that distinguish normal peer conflicts from bullying. Bullying is contrary to State law and the policies of Science & Arts Academy. Consistent with federal and State laws and rules governing student privacy rights, SAA faculty and staff are obligated to investigate incidents believed to constitute bullying, and report such incidents to the administration.
