Emma Donatille came to SAA as an Assistant Director of School Advancement in 2018 and is now SAA's Director of Advancement. Leading the School Advancement team, Emma creates relationships within the greater SAA community, including current families, alumni, and community members.
Her role also includes the coordination of all fundraising and community events to further promote the school’s mission. As the liaison between the Family School Association (FSA) and SAA, Emma works directly with current families to host events for the SAA community. Mrs. Donatille brings a passion for children and the desire to bring SAA’s mission to the greater community to the school.
Mrs. Donatille earned a BA in journalism and mass communication with a major in advertising - account management, and a minor in marketing from Drake University. During college, she realized that she felt most at home with extracurricular and educational activities outside the classroom, and found a path into student affairs. Emma went on to pursue an MS in adult and higher education, with an emphasis in student affairs, from Northern Illinois University.
Previously Mrs. Donatille served as the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA), working not only with alumni and donors, but also current students. Before IMSA, Emma was Program Manager of Alumnae Chapter Development at Alpha Phi International Fraternity, advising alumnae volunteers and alumnae chapters within North America and Europe, and maintained the Alpha Phi database of alumnae.
She loves being a part of a vibrant school community. SAA families often find her welcoming students in the morning and seeing them off each afternoon. Outside of school, Mrs. Donatille enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, visiting with friends and family, reading, and knitting.
