The search for Science & Art’s Academy’s next permanent Head of School for the 2024-2025 school year is currently underway by the Head of School Search Committee.
SAA was founded with the mission to provide intellectually and creatively talented students a students a
stimulating and supportive environment designed for their unique abilities. An important factor in evaluating the next Head of School will be the degree to which candidates understand, support, and can enhance our mission.
Successful candidates will need to embrace SAA’s mission, values, and child-centered approach to learning.

Interim Head of School for 2023-2024
Given the timing of the search for SAA’s next Head of School, RG175 and the Board of Trustees agreed on the selection of an interim Head of School for the 2023-2024 school year.

The SAA Board of Trustees and Search Committee are pleased to announce the appointment of Edward Hollinger as the Interim Head of School for the 2023-2024 school year.
Mr. Hollinger, who will begin his role as Interim on July 1, 2023, brings over 35 years of experience in education, including multiple positions in school transition management. He is eager to begin working with the faculty, staff and parents, to share his experiences, and to cultivate a keen understanding of the needs of our students and the mission of our school.

Timeline and Next Steps
Science & Arts Academy plans to be able to announce the appointment of a new permanent Head of
School sometime in fall of 2023. The new Head will assume responsibility on July 1, 2024.
