Board of Trustees Appoints Conrad Wildsmith
Next Head of School
The Board unanimously approved the Search Committee’s recommendation to appoint Conrad as Head of School, following a nine-month search process that included voices from our students, families, faculty, administration, and Board of Trustees.
Conrad will assume responsibility on July 1, 2024. Edward Hollinger will continue to serve as Interim Head of School for the 2023-2024 school year, bringing over 35 years of experience in education, including multiple positions in school transition management.
SAA was founded with the mission to provide intellectually and creatively talented students a students a stimulating and supportive environment designed for their unique abilities. The degree to which candidates understand, support, and can enhance our mission was a critical factor in evaluating the next Head of School.
Conrad brings a proven record in school leadership with ten years of experience as a Head of School in both international, and traditional programs. Additionally, Conrad has served as an instructor of gifted students, has planned and implemented advanced curriculum for gifted students, and has led professional development for teachers on differentiated instruction.
Search Committee Team
The Board of Trustees partnered with RG175, a leading search firm with an outstanding reputation. Bringing decades of experience in school leadership, RG175 consultants Cathy Hunter and Jerry Katz worked directly with the Board of Trustees and the Head of School Search Committee.
