SAA is committed to implementing a multi-layered approach in the school building to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. SAA continues to implement safety strategies throughout three major categories, forming the key building blocks incorporated into all facets of school life.

The School Nurse is available to help with a variety of student, staff and faculty health issues during the school day in the Health Services Suite.

Sick Policy
While students’ attendance at school is important, it is more critical than ever to monitor student, faculty and staff health daily. We ask all community members to stay home if exhibiting any illness symptoms or fever that are not clearly attributable to a known pre-existing condition. Read the Sick Policy »

Admissions Visitor Policy
All guests that enter the building for admissions events, meetings, or school tours must show proof of a negative COVID test per our Visitor Policy.   Read the Admissions Visitor Policy »

COVID-19 Response
When responding to a suspected or confirmed case, members of SAA’s COVID-19 Response Team, in coordination with Cook County Department of Public Health officials, will initiate our comprehensive readiness plan. At its core, SAA’s response will be guided by a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of those directly impacted by the situation and to help mitigate the spread of the virus in and outside of school.
