History
In 1992, Dr. Helene Bartz founded Science & Arts Academy with the vision to provide intellectually gifted and creatively talented students a supportive environment designed for their unique abilities.
As the vision grew from a church basement to the impressive facility at 1825 Miner Street, SAA has not wavered from the initial vision and has strengthened in both program and enrollment.
The school offers a gifted program for preschool through 8th grade. With an extensive liberal arts curriculum balanced with participation in fine arts such as music, art, and drama, SAA seeks to meet the needs of gifted learners .
