We are excited to report that we now have seven baby ducklings at SAA, and the Junior Kindergarten class was lucky enough to watch two hatch right before their very eyes during class! Our ducks are much more than cute, fuzzy visitors. They teach children about the life cycle, compassion for living things, how living things grow and change, and how important it is to take care of our planet's creatures. After reading “The House on Mango Street,” 7th graders enjoyed a field trip to the Pilsen neighborhood for a mural tour, followed by lunch at a local Mexican restaurant and a visit to the National Museum of Mexican Art. |
