Congratulations to alumna Elia Ton-That ‘18 on becoming the IHSA Class 2a Track & Field STATE CHAMPION in the 1600-meter run! Elia ran the race in an incredible 4:58:11 and holds the Chicago Public School league record with a personal best of 4:56.

Elia was able to pursue her passion in middle school by running with the SAA Cross Country Team, founded by Coach Ms. Tarsinos and co-coached by Mrs. Manley, and still runs by their team motto, “All it takes is all you got!”

The SAA Cross Country teams are divided into Junior Varsity (5th-6th grade) and Varsity (7th-8th grade) teams and are for students of any running experience level.
