On Saturday, February 11, seven band and orchestra students represented SAA at the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) Solo and Ensemble Contest in Deerfield. All of our participants received 1st place ratings, with one earning a perfect score 1+ rating. Yay SAA!
On Sunday, February 12, one of our 8th graders performed at Northwestern University in the Lifetime of Music concert presented by the Northshore Concert Band. The concert was held at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall in Evanston. Over 200 students from the Chicagoland area were nominated and one of our students was selected for this opportunity. Way to go!
