Science Olympiad had a strong showing at the 2016 ISO Lisle Invitational this past Saturday (1/23) at Lisle Township High School. Our Varsity team earned top medals in 21 of the 23 events including first place medals in Anatomy, Bridge, Crave the Wave, Dynamic Planet, Experimental Design, Food Science, and Picture This.
Our JV also had a great day earning top placement in 19 out of 23 events with first place medals in Air Trajectory, Bio-Process, Dynamic Planet, Green Generation, and Invasive Species.
Illinois Invitationals do not offer overall team placements and trophies like other states do, but unofficially, SAA would be ranked 1st in both JV and Varsity according to the overall results and medal count.
We are very proud of all our participants and are now gearing up for our toughest competition at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio on February 6. Our team will be competing against nationally ranked teams including the number one team in the nation from Texas! We would like to thank all members of the SAA community for continuing to support our kiddos as they pursue their dreams in science exploration!
