Many thanks to the SAA Community for donating a total of 560 pairs of shoes to our shoe collection! The 7th graders did a great job collecting and organizing the collection. Each pound of unwanted shoes is sold to Funds2Orgs which distributes the shoes to 26 developing nations around the world. The shoes become inventory for families who run small businesses. The money earned from selling the shoes then benefits R.O.A.R (Roll Over Animal Rescue). This organization is located in Des Plaines and helps save cats and dogs by finding a forever home for them. Mr. & Mrs. Trella foster animals through this organization. Thank you for supporting these local and global causes by donating your unwanted shoes!
