Señora Anne Rodas is SAA’s middle school Spanish teacher. Señora Rodas spent eight years with Wilmette School District 39 teaching Spanish before joining SAA in 2020, bringing over 20 years of experience in education. Anne has taught Spanish in elementary schools, two way immersion programs, and middle and junior high schools. Anne is passionate about inspiring a love of the language and cultures to her students.
Anne holds a BA in History and Spanish from Beloit College and an MA in Teaching from National Louis University. She is also pursuing her Teacher Leadership Endorsement from DePaul University.
Anne began her life-long love of all things Spanish when she took her first Spanish class in 6th grade at King Lab School in Evanston. As a Spanish major in undergraduate studies, Anne spent a semester living and studying abroad in Quito, Ecuador at Pontificia Universidad Católica. She was lucky to travel the country, including visiting Las Islas Galápagos!
Anne lives in Skokie with her family, including her two children, Archie and Ellie. She enjoys traveling, exploring new local places, restaurants and food, watching the US Women’s National Soccer Team, and listening to Spanish music.
