Ms. Spataro brings a wide range of educational experience to SAA’s lower school as a Junior Kindergarten and science teacher.
Ms. Spataro currently teaches Junior Kindergarten, having previously taught social studies, science, language arts, and math at SAA. She is the Girls Excelling in Math and Science (GEMS) Advisor and yearbook coordinator at SAA. She has also previously served as our Lower School Virtual Learning Support Teacher, providing support for faculty, students, and parents in SAA's virtual learning programs.
Having worked in education for over 33 years, her career experience includes developing curricula for Kindergarten through 3rd grade grade social studies, language arts, and English language classroom push-in programs. Linda served as an English Language tutor at the Southeast Asia Center, an English as a Second Language classroom teacher for 1st - 3rd grade at a local school district, and teaching in early childhood programs for many Chicagoland local park districts. She spent several years as a Head Start teacher helping children from low-income families develop Kindergarten readiness skills.
Ms. Spataro earned a BA in Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University with endorsements in English as a Second Language, Language Arts, and Social Science. Linda went on to get her MA in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Technology from Concordia University. She is a current member of the National Association for Gifted Children.

Outside the classroom, Linda enjoys camping, nature photography, cooking and spending time with her family and fur pup. She also volunteers at shelters for the homeless and the PADS organization.
