Summer 2021 Program OverviewPreschool and Kindergarten Program | 9:00am - 12:00pm or 9:00am - 3:00pm
The Young Learners Program is a holistic school readiness experience that combines learning and fun for children preparing for the upcoming school year in their preschool or kindergarten classroom. Each two-week session is built around a thematic, multi-disciplinary curriculum (e.g. math, reading, science, art, etc.) that encourages academic, social, emotional, and physical development. Activities are engaging, interactive, and challenging, and they are designed with the differentiated development and educational needs of the child in mind. In addition to the morning enrichment activities, full day campers eat lunch, have a brief rest period, and spend the afternoon playing cooperative games, sports oriented games, water games, and other creative activities that get them moving around, improving physical fitness, and developing gross motor and coordination skills. We are currently unsure of plans to return to swimming at nearby Mystic Waters waterpark and will provide updates to enrolled families as we get closer to the summer. Summer Adventures in Learning offers an onsite Health Services Center staffed by a full-time nurse, as well as a Pandemic Safety Coordinator managing all COVID-19 preparations and case response protocols.
