Mrs. Bobbi Weber came to SAA in 2012 teaching music, band, and orchestra, as well as serving as a private music lesson instructor. Her role allows her to work with students from Junior Kindergarten to 8th grade at SAA.
Mrs. Weber earned her bachelors in music education from Millikin University, a masters from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a member of the National Association for Music Education and Sigma Alpha Iota.
She began her music teaching career in the public school system as an elementary general music teacher, band director, private lesson instructor, and choir director. Looking for a school that allowed her to share her passion for music in a variety of ways and connect with students in a truly authentic manner, she found SAA, where she can teach a wider breadth of music performance and music theory.
Ms. Weber values building relationships with each of her students, and her hope is that all students can find their life long passion for music during their early years in a way that is meaningful for each individual. She is thankful to spend her days doing what she loves across teaching and directing.
She began playing the flute at age 9 and piano at age 10, and continues to play today. Outside of the music room, you can find Ms. Weber playing her flute in community bands, crocheting, and reading.
